Join this beginner's extensive painting masterclass in the scenic Samford Valley, located 25 minutes from Brisbane's CBD. At the beautiful Studio Lomandra venue, indulge in 4 hours of creativity and self-expression. Chanté will guide you step-by-step in creating your own intricate and stunning painting inspired by native flora. Participants will learn various skills, including mark-making, hand-eye coordination, drawing, creating texture, painting detailed flora and fauna, engaging with perspective and scale, understanding color concepts, and applying acrylic paint. Chanté will share her techniques and experience, providing valuable guidance for your artistic vision. This workshop not only results in a ready-to-hang artwork but also imparts knowledge about preserving native flora and offers the therapeutic benefits of art-making.

About the Facilitator
With a Diploma in Fine Art and a decade of practice, Chanté Ranclaud, a Brisbane-born artist raised in Samford, follows her creative impulses. Currently focusing on native flora and fauna imagery, Chanté's paintings feature geometric, organic, and detailed forms. She rarely employs preliminary drafting, preferring to paint in the present moment and embracing serendipitous occurrences. Expressing herself through art has facilitated personal growth and understanding, igniting a sense of vitality within Chanté. She encourages creative outlets as a means of healing from trauma.
