I fitted out my bus tiny home after losing my work as a sole trader throughout the pandemic. As an art workshop facilitator in regional South East Queensland, I relied on in person events for income. It was a blessing in disguise that the pandemic afforded me more time to work on my home using my savings and a DIY attitude to create my dream home.

I spent a lot of time designing my home before I found my bus on Facebook marketplace. I spent around $15 000 on the whole home. By making frugal design choices and buying secondhand, I managed to build a home without debt. I'm currently working on an online course to help people like me have the opportunity to design a home that will afford them the freedom I have.
