About the event
In this hands on workshops you will learn how to cut & weave upcycled fabrics to make an array of baskets. The facilitator will take you step by step through the process of cutting, wrapping and weaving to create various sized baskets that can be used as storage, decorations or even a belt pouch. No previous knowledge is needed - All materials are provided although feel free to bring any fabrics or clothes you would like to upcycle.

About the facilitator:
Sommer Jade has been passionate about recycling her whole life, always cutting up old clothing to sew new garments. Her upcycling journey led her to using her old clothing to create functional baskets & belt bags. She believes that by passing on the weaving knowledge her mother taught her, that it will connect us & also help reduce the fabric waste in the world.
