Young Women's Circle with Tessa

Looking for a school Holiday program? Come along to Studio Lomandra to try our Young Women's Circle taster.

This is 3 hours of hanging out, making craft, eating snacks, making new friends and learning about girlhood.

Tessa has been running our young women's program for 2 years now with amazing results.

What is this program? Girls from Different suburbs around brisbane gathering for 2-2.5hours to hang out, get to know

each other, learn about sitting in circle, practicing active listening and learn about self care, healthy relationships, bullying and how to navigate it, healthy communication, the menstrual cycle & the different changes that come with becoming a teenager.

What we have found from running this program, is the positive impact its made for our participants lives regarding social skills, self confidence and mental health. we find by utilizing different forms of self care, from self awareness, art, journaling, movement, meditation, singing and more that the girls become equipped with a resilience toolkit that they can then take through life, not to mention the life long memories created from participating.

What to bring?

Byo a lunch box or a plate of food to share( our regular circles we encourage everyone to bring a plate of healthy snacks to share for a communal feast (eating together is a beautiful way to boost happy hormones that support relaxation and in turn aid connection)

Other than that we suggest dressing comfy and if you feel like you want to bring a friend or a sibling that’s more then ok!
